Celebrity Chef Jean Christophe Novelli, drops in on old friend and colleague Jamie Yardley.

During his 2 day stint at this years West Mid Show in Shrewsbury in June, Jean Christophe praised the diversity of what Shropshire has to offer for consumers, and diners alike and called on his old friend and protégée Jamie Yardley from The Boyne, whom he described whilst on stage as 'one of the most talented chefs I have ever worked with'. Jamie worked with Jean Christof for 4 years at Brocket Hall in Hertfordshire.

In the evening Jean Christophe took timeout of his busy schedule to visit The Boyne Arms, to relax and enjoy some of Jamie's cuisine. Whilst dining with fellow gourmand James Day of Shropshire based dining club 'Gourmet Life', Jean Christophe commented to Jamie "I am so pleased to see what you have achieved, it is a fantastic setting, and you have a real talent out of getting the best out of ingredients that this regions has to offer."� continuing "I am very impressed with Shropshire and what the county has to offer, I will certainly be back"�. Jean Christophe spent a few hours chatting to regulars and enjoying some of Jamie's cuisine.

Jamie Commented "It's great to see JC again after so long. We don't manage to catch up with our busy schedules and my young family, but JC was kind enough to give me a call when he knew he was coming to Shropshire, and he managed to find time to dine with us, which was a real pleasure to cook for him again, and by all accounts he was more than satisfied.
